Animal Crossing Bulletin Artist Draws My Hero Academia's Deku
A determined artist has utilized Animal Crossing: New Horizons' bulletin board to draw Izuku Midoriya, AKA Deku, from My Hero Academia.
Using nothing but Animal Crossing: New Horizons ' Nook Plaza bulletin board, a talented artist has shared a timelapse of their amazing drawing of Deku from the popular anime and manga series My Hero Academia online. A less commonly talked about feature in the game, the bulletin board in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a place where notices are placed, alerting the player to island like villagers' birthdays, holiday celebrations, and fishing tourneys, and it also serves as a place where visitors can leave other players messages and drawings.
Thanks to the custom design features that allow players to create patterns and design outfits in Animal Crossing, amateur creators have continued to amaze with their in-game crafts for the past year. As a result of the ingenuity and creativity of Animal Crossing: New Horizon players (as well as the robust item sandbox Nintendo included in the game), recreations of entire scenes and places have been made possible, such as a house containing all the elements some key locations from Avatar: The Last Airbender and much, much more.
Talented artist oodlesof_doodles has utilized the game's bulletin board to create a spectacular drawingMy Hero Academia protagonist Deku, the protagonist from the hugely popular Japanese manga and anime series, My Hero Academia. Sharing a timelapse of their drawing on Reddit, oodlesof_doodles skillfully draws Deku wearing a yellow cape, a reference to the character's new costume in the manga. Deku is also holding up a board that features the child mascot of the Want Want snack food company, as the island is themed after the boy mascot. The bulletin board artwork took the skilled artist over two hours to create, with some neat tricks involved to conserve the limited amount of ink available for use.
What is perhaps even more amazing, is the fact that the above bulletin board artwork was not drawn with a stylus or using the Nintendo Switch's touch screen, but with a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. Despite the limitations with the color palette and limited ink, this has not stopped determined Animal Crossing fans from creating amazing artworks on the island bulletin board, with many players participating in art trades (as was done in this case) and even hiring artists to draw on their island.
Although it has been over a year since the game's release, Animal Crossing: New Horizons' wide limits have yet to be broken by dedicated, creative players. The game is well-loved for it, having sold over 31 million copies as of February 2021. With Nintendo's continued content updates for the latest Animal Crossingentry, it's highly likely there will be even more awe inspiring creations yet to come.
